What I'm Up To?

This is now page. If you have your own website, you should make one too.

📍 Location

I'm currently based in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam – a dynamic and ever-changing city that blends tradition with modern hustle. I've been living and working here for the past few years, and it's the place where my tech journey has truly taken shape. Despite the chaos, the energy here keeps me moving forward.

💻 Work and Projects

I’ve been working as a frontend engineer for 5+ years, focusing on building modern, responsive, and performant web applications using React, Next.js, and TypeScript. Right now, I’m working full-time at a product company, where I not only contribute to feature development but also focus on improving performance, accessibility, and code quality across our frontend stack.
Outside of my day job, I enjoy building side projects — tools, experiments, and little utilities that scratch an itch or help others. I’m particularly interested in frontend performance, clean architecture, and building things that last. You can explore some of my projects on my Projects page.

🧠 Learning and Growth

Lately, I’ve been diving deeper into Node.js and Golang, hoping to expand my backend skills and become more comfortable with fullstack work. I believe that understanding the full picture — from database to browser — helps me write better frontend code too.
I'm also exploring topics like frontend testing (with Jest and Testing Library), Edge computing, and browser rendering internals, all of which I find incredibly exciting.
I try to learn in public — documenting my learnings, even the small ones, either through blog posts or internal sharing sessions with teammates.

✍️ Writing Again

After spending too much time doom-scrolling through social media, I’ve decided to return to writing on my blog. I don’t have a content plan or fixed goal — just sharing thoughts, lessons learned, and ideas that matter to me.
Topics I enjoy writing about include JavaScript tips, real-world problems in frontend, reflections on being a developer in Vietnam, and sometimes just random thoughts on productivity or career.
If you're curious, check out my Blog — I aim to keep it honest, helpful, and simple.

🤝 Giving Back

I'm passionate about building a supportive tech community in Vietnam. I regularly mentor junior developers on my team, help debug tough issues together, and encourage them to speak up and grow. I believe knowledge-sharing is a powerful way to uplift others and strengthen the community. Someday, I’d love to give a talk or write a longer series for Vietnamese devs just getting started.

🌱 Life Outside of Code

I try to balance work with offline life — reading (mostly non-fiction), journaling, walking around the city, and occasionally escaping to Da Lat when the heat gets too intense. I'm not great at work-life balance yet, but I’m working on it.
